Amateur Photography

In 2015, my wonderful wife gave me a Digital Camera for Christmas. Its the Nikon D5200 DSLR. I had wanted one for many years, but could never afford it. I decided recently to learn how to use it properly and to use all of its features. Then when I learn more and am taking better photos, I will slowly expand the equipment and get more lenses and accessories.

Below are some shots I have taken and a little info about the subject. You can click on each photo and get a full screen view of it.

Sunset at St. Kilda Breakwater

Sunset on Hay Plains – On a recent trip to Sydney, I decided to drive so that I could get around while there. On the way home, I found myself driving direct west at sunset across the Hay Plains – not a good idea. So, I stopped for a break and took some sunset shots.

Playford Alive Town Park – I live in an area where there is an urban renewal program running. Many old homes are being knocked down and new ones built. There is also an area where all new homes are being built and a new area established.

These night shots are of the local Town Park area which includes a playground and skate park. The area is called Playford Alive.

Chickens in the Backyard – We recently set up a chicken coop and purchased some chickens. This shot is of one of our chickens in our yard, and below that is some chicks that hatched.
